About the Training
This live, instructor-led Power BI training is designed for beginners who want to move from Excel-based reporting into interactive dashboards and modern business reporting using Power BI.
Participants will learn how to connect data, clean and shape it with Power Query, build a simple data model, write basic DAX calculations, and create clear, interactive reports.

Course Outline
The training is structured across four live sessions, taking learners from Power BI foundations to report building and publishing basics.
Day 1 – Foundations and Getting Data In
- Power BI overview and common business reporting use cases
- Report, Data, and Model views
- Connecting to Excel and CSV files
- Reviewing data types and loading data
- Introduction to Power Query
- Refresh basics
Day 2 – Data Cleaning and Shaping with Power Query
- Rename, remove, reorder, and transform columns
- Replace values and remove duplicates
- Split columns
- Create simple custom columns
- Append queries and merge queries basics
- Prepare clean data for reporting
Day 3 – Data Modeling and DAX Basics
- Relationships and model structure
- Fact and dimension concepts
- Calculated columns vs measures
- Beginner DAX: SUM, COUNT, DISTINCTCOUNT
- Simple IF logic for analysis
Day 4 – Report Building and Publishing Basics
- Create cards, tables, slicers, and charts
- Format visuals for clean report design
- Use filters and visual interactions
- Introduction to drill-through and navigation
- Publish and share reports in Power BI Service
Course Outcome
By the end of the course, participants will be able to import, clean, model, and visualize data in Power BI to build practical business reports and dashboards.
